tell me about it... no seriously, tell me!

Yesterday I discovered something core to the feeling of belonging to a community.

It was simple. It is an age old truth. It applies to communities large, or small, and I am sure it transcends race and culture.

I got to be a part of it yesterday. I was distracted by my children, but I was witness to people sharing testimony.

Yes this specifically was in a church, but it doesn't need to be.

People sharing their experiences. People talking about what they are learning. How they are growing. Things they are changing in their lives. Ways they've seen God. Ways they've experienced truth.

Yesterday was inspiring. There were youth who shared how their lives were significantly impacted by YC a couple weeks ago. There was a youth sponsor who talked about how God used him to impact strangers lives, through his being obedient to what God told him to do. There were other members of our congregation who talked about how God is showing Himself to them and how they are growing. Amazing.

When I hear other people share what they are going through... when they testify, I can't help but be encouraged, and excited. I smile. I rejoice. I love God more.
