God is wild about us!

subway art Psalm 139 @ Emily Shares

A couple weeks ago, we had the priviledge of witnessing our neice Anna be dedicated by her parents to the Lord. Some of the things my brother in law said have stuck with me. They are things we have thought about many a time, but hearing someone else say it, made it more real somehow. He spoke about how when you have a child and hold them in your arms, you see God in a new light. You begin to grasp how crazy God really is about you. You have this child, and your love for them almost makes your heart explode. And then you think...
God loves you more than this. Way more than you could ever imagine.

God's love never fails!

God is WILD about us.

God's Love Letter
This week,  our kids are at a VBS at a local church. This year they are doing PandaMania- Where God is WILD about YOU. Today is only day 2, but what my kids have been learning is impacting me too. The CD that goes along with the VBS (of course we bought it!) has some rockin tunes that we are loving dancing to... but also lyrics that will stick in our heads and remind us that
God is WILD about US... and God is great... He is Awesome!
Watching around 200 kids yesterday learning about how God created them and how He is Wild about them was such a reminder to me of the same things. Such a basic lesson, but one that I often need to re-learn.
I am fearfully and wonderfully made. - Psalm 139:14

It is one thing to teach our kids that God created them perfectly and wonderfully and that He loves them just the way they are. But it is another thing to absorb that truth about yourself. So my challenge this week is to absorb the lessons the kids are learning, and to allow the lyrics of these songs to be more than fun dance party tunes... but God's way of speaking to me.
