Who does this world belong to?

Today I was listening to Paws and Tales with my kids in the van, and at the end of each episode there is always a song that summarizes the lesson presented. Today's song was done by a country artist, and it was so beautiful! The lyrics were simple- and hit directly to my heart.
These last few days have been full of crazy weather with damage done to crops and neighbors homes and property. As farmers wife , we live off of the land, depend on the weather and often live in faith knowing we have done all we can, the rest is up to Him. This is not an easy thing. And so, today as I listened to this song, on a childrens radio broadcast meant for little kids, I was struck with a message so clear. It all belongs to God!

Who does this world belong to?
Who does this world belong to?
Who does this big old world belong to- it all belongs to God

Who does this world belong to?
Who does this world belong to?
Who does this big old world belong to- it all belongs to God

natureNature

See that flower, see that tree
you might think they're our property
but they're not really ours, you see
I know that may sound odd
but the One who owns each hill and brook
ain't listed in some mortgage book
You'll know if you take a look
it all belongs to God

Who does this world belong to?
Who does this world belong to?
Who does this big old world belong to- it all belongs to God

Well mercury, the moon and mars
Lord they declare just who You are
Your name is written in the stars,
its glorious, its true
And though you have no earthly street address
your landlord over east and west
that is why I do confess - it all belongs to You

Who does this world belong to?
Who does this world belong to?
Who does this big old world belong to- it all belongs to God

This is my Father's world
I rest thee in God's arms
of rocks and trees, of skies and seas
is in His wondrous arms

Who does this world belong to?
Who does this world belong to?
Who does this big old world belong to- it all belongs to God

  1. I'm so sorry to hear about the damage to the crops. This post is so beautiful, He definitely is in control of everything and His plan is always good - I can't wait to go hear this song.
